my experience at this charming hotel was fantastic, with a warm and welcoming host who truly made my stay enjoyable, and the location couldn't be better, being just a few steps from the promenade and close to numerous attractions like the Southport Marine Lake and Hesketh Park, which made my weekend strolls delightful.

I almost considered giving Penkelie a good review, but then the shower, which was either frigid or a dribble, ruined it all. the walls are so thin, I could hear every snore from neighbors! To top it off, no upgrade was offered for my inconvenience. What a missed chance for a luxurious experience!

It was just a strong match for exploring town in Southport with a great value-to-price ratio. The full English breakfast really filled me up for a day of sightseeing. Make sure to try the cookies in the room!

Our chill spot was mere steps from restaurants like The Windmill for a cheeky pint and Pizzeria Positano for some top-notch slices. Plus, Lisa's thoughtful touches really made us feel at home.
